What is Geothermal Power?

The center of the earth can be at a temperature in the range of 12000 degrees Fahrenheit. The concept of geothermal power is to tap this heat.

Convection currents travel quite near the surface of the earth in some places. For example, the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik is practically powered by hot springs.
